A modifier that blurs the vertex colours (or any mapping channel). This is conceptually much like the blur routine in the Vertex Paint modifier, but as a modifier.

The Max 2009 (and higher) version can convert a stack vertex selection to vertex colours (allowing it to be used as a mask in a material etc.).

Texture Layers allows you to keep and animate all of your mapping channels in just one modifier, including its own sub-object face/patch selection. You can copy, cut, paste, save and load mapping channels inside the same modifier, or from one modifier to another. Usual mapping techniques are fine for objects like boxes, spheres or cylinders, but even a simple procedural object like the torus is almost impossible to map well with traditional mapping techniques, not to mention more complex models like the ones you work with every day. Here is where TexLay fills the gap with its two procedural mapping types, Spline Mapping and Free Form Mapping.

UVW Frame is composed of two plugins, a helper that displays a frame in the viewport, and a modifier that converts any mesh that is inside this frame to a UVW mesh for another object. UVW Frame allows the artist to manipulate the UVW mesh in a 3D viewport, to use the editable plugins on this mesh, and to use as many modifiers as they like.

VoroFrag is a Voronoi fracturing modifier. It supports convex, concave and hollow meshes, and can fragment open sufaces without creating a volume.
