29.06.2010 Hair.Basic, as the name says, is a very basic way of getting hair onto your characters utilizing some traditional tools already in Max with its proprietary functionality. This is currently an early 'alpha' version of the tool and it is neither feature complete nor stable (or optimized), so please use it with that in mind. Hair basic is compatible with Ornatrix/Hairtrix so owners of that plugin can use its styling and rendering tools to do more with it. However, for anyone else the geometry export should allow rendering with any renderer for now. |

13.02.2009 This modifier is similar to the optimize plugin except that it works on splines. It tries to approximate the given spline with a spline that looks the same but has fewer knots. You specifiy the maximum error and an angle for corner detection. It works both on bezier points and on corner points. So you can use it to 'reverse engineer' tesselated splines that have only corner points back to splines with bezierpoints. Its main purpose is to clean up data from imported DXF and DWG splines. |
