Berlin-based Laubwerk announced the release of their Plants Kit 1 - Temperate Deciduous Trees for 3DS Max. Plant models are stored in a procedural data model, so you can have different drawing primitives like a simple hull shape or a skeleton show in the viewport for quick feedback while getting the full resolution geometry in your renders. Making continuous level of detail modifications such as dropping thin branches or simplifying foliage is just a click of a button away. More on Laubwerk's website.
