Quma – a USB-powered mocap mannequin

Japanese company SoftEther is set to release a USB-powered posable motion-capture figure. The articulated device has sensors on its joints to allow real time control of a CG character. The technology has been around since the 90s when Digital Image Design created the Mocap Monkey and similar devices were used in Jurassic Park, but this will be the first time it has been made available to the mass-market.
