A number of developers have started a project to create an open source, professional video editor with the following features: realtime collaborative editing on the net, designed from the ground up for HDSLR cameras, can use local computers and cloud for storage and rendering, 64-bit support, etc. More information at Kickstarter and Create Digital Motion.
