Deep compositing tools on the horizon

Weta have announced during FMX that they'll be releasing the deep opacity technology format and libraries they have developed as open source, and that these will be incorporated into the upcoming OpenEXR 2.0 specification. Also of note, as previously reported, The Foundry confirmed it will be licensing and incorporating some of Weta's deep opacity technology into its Nuke compositing application.
