Canada becomes third-largest employer of game industry professionals, pushes UK into fourth place

Develop has the news. Also of note, TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, has published a manifesto outlining its three priorities for quickly stimulating the growth of the UK video games industry: the introduction of Games Tax Relief as soon as possible; the retention and expansion of the SME R&D tax credit scheme; and a reduction in tuition fees for students studying mathematics and computer science degrees in order to tackle the skills shortage facing the industry.
