New features in the latest version of Procedural's 3D urban environment creation software include: dynamic city layouts (intuitive and interactive modification of urban structures on all levels), node-based rule editor (visual programming interface for procedural modeling beginners), facade wizard (practical visual sketching tool for facades), advanced block subdivision, modeling of curved streets, new rule operations for instancing and asset search, native Collada support for assets, export instances with the new FBX 2011.2, etc. Also of note, new licensing models for freelancers and students have been introduced: CityEngine INDIE for $495 and CityEngine STUDENT for $149.
