Houdini users are now able to harness the processing power of Amazon’s EC2 compute cloud and launch renderings and simulations right from inside the software. A 32-bit machine with 1.7 GB of RAM is only 50 cents per machine per hour while a 64-bit machine with 7.5 GB of RAM is only $1.99 per machine per hour. Other configurations are available. With the cloud, you only pay for what you use and this creates a more scalable back end. More at SideFX.com.
