New Plugin: MCG

An MCG object that creates a simple branching system similar to simple L-Systems, but it's not an L-System.

Changes for v2.1.0 alpha are:
- Adds update buttons for the animation rollups
- Adds tooltips for some of the controls in the export window
- Adds the ability to enable or disable x-obj export
- Adds a checkbox for enabling auto-export

New Plugin: Connection

yVR is a multiplatform tool that allows you to view your mono and stereo 360 renders directly on your device either in 360 or cardboard mode. yVR works locally for artists that want to see their work directly on their final medium or across the internet to showcase to clients and get fast and efficient feedback on 360 projects.

Currently yVR has plugins for 3ds Max and Houdini. In Max it supports the following renderers:
- V-Ray (production/interactive/activeshade mode)
- Corona (production/interactive/activeshade mode)
- Redshift (production/interactive/activeshade mode)
- AMD ProRender (production/interactive/activeshade mode)
- Fstorm
- Any render that supports 360 cameras (may have limited functionality, depending on the renderer implementation)

yVR is available for Max 2014 to 2018 and costs €50. A demo version is available here.

- Housecleaning now deletes Repository job folders before purging the job from the Database

This parametric selection modifier allows you to select faces on a mesh without regard to topology changes similar to a Volume Select Modifier. Specific attributes by which you can select faces are:

New Plugin: Animation

Nyx SideKick provides a very powerful and efficient workflow between Max and Houdini with interactive capabilities. It gives you the most comfortable Max <> Houdini workflow possible. Work in Max as you've always done and simply start using more and more of Houdini's power in your workflow as you go.

New Plugin: Animation

MoCapture is a utility plugin that uses video-based technology for motion capture and animation directly inside Max. You don't need expensive equipment, sticky markers, endless importing and exporting from and to several 3D programs. With MoCapture, all you need is to sit down in front of a webcam, act out the expressions you want to apply to your 3D character and watch it happen in real time within Max.

Features include:
- Automatic facial capture without markers and expensive equipment
- Easy setup of links between controllers and manipulators
- Supports any facial rigs, but 'Morpher' modifier-based rigs are recommended
- Supports Float Limit controllers
- Load / Save configuration file
- Supports PC-compatible video capture devices
- Records video stream inside Max

MoCapture is available for Max 2017 and is donationware. Any donation will get you the plugin with basic features. A donation of $100 or more will receive all extended and subsequent versions for free.

New Plugin: Import / Export

This plugin allows you to upload directly to the Modelo cloud platform. It also supports rendering the scene into panorama images and uploading them to modelo.io (needs V-Ray 3.4+).
